Winter ends

Thistle, datura and

wild blackberry.

As the light lengthens

  and March tapers

into April,

strife and suffering,

joy and serenity,

are equal partners

on destiny's highways.

Plant life has a wide range of uses from sustenance, to medicine,

 to gestures of affection and almost everything in between. 

Plants can also be used to convey a message, and to share our feelings.

I photographed these plants to convey their individual beauty long after their blooms are gone
